This is a fun version of chocolate chip cookies. My son likes these cookies because of all the sprinkles. We made these cookies to share with Uncle Zane on his birthday. This recipe is from the Taste of Home Ultimate Cookie collection. You can easily double this recipe to make more cookies if needed.
1 c butter, softened
1 c sugar1 c packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
2 ½ c old-fashioned oats
2 c all-purpose flour
1 t baking soda
1 t baking powder
½ t salt
2 c chocolate chips
1 c chocolate sprinkles
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Place oats in a blender or food processor; cover and process until finely ground. Combine oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and sprinkles.
Roll into 1 ½ inch balls. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12-14 minutes.
