I found this recipe in a Taste of Home magazine - the picture made my mouth water so I decided to give this recipe a try. I made a few adjustments to the original recipe and here is my variation. I served these wraps for dinner tonight with pink lemonade and Honey Lime Fruit Toss. These wraps are easy to prepare and would also be a great way to change up the daily brown bag routine for lunch!
4 T non-fat cream cheese, softened
8 flour tortillas (8-inches), room temperature
¾ c shredded lettuce
½ c chopped tomato
10-oz.thinly sliced deli smoked turkey
8 slices provolone cheese
1 medium ripe avocado, peeled and chopped
¼ c chopped green onions
Spread cream cheese over one side of 4 tortillas. Layer prepared tortillas with lettuce, tomato, turkey, cheese, avocado, and green onions. Begin to roll up wrap tightly; overlap rolled tortilla edge with extra tortilla and continue wrapping. Use a toothpick or small skewer to hold in place if necessary. Makes 4 servings.
